Olympia goes to Hollywood

Charlotte Olympia is one of my fave shoe and bag designers at the moment, and even more so when I saw her latest pieces in her recent collections.

Based around old-hollywood glamour and classic hollywood, she has created a huge collection paying homage to the Old American Hollywood clichés: Themed Perspex clutch bags shaped like perfume bottles, film tape, the walk of fame and take cards. Fabric Clutch Bags with printed 'Movie Magazine' Covers starring Rita Hayworth and Jean Harlow, and the cute popcorn shaped leather handbag.

Of course the best pieces are the to die for shoes, named after Old Hollywood Movie starlets. My fave's are the 'Mae west' shoe with a mini Mae west applique on the front of the sandal, the gold dress is in gold fabric that flows, creating a deco silhouette round the peep toe.
Oh... and also another dream shoe (a sandal) in a Crystal and jewel encrusted fabric or silk print, with a platform heel named 'leading lady' with a framed Cameo starring Rita Hayworth or Bette Davis.

Theres also several styles based around film reel tape, like a high Sandal heel which the silver film roll wraps around the foot. They both come  in either silver or black clear acetate. Glamorous bedroom boudoir kitten heeled sandals in satin pink with feather marabou pom pom on the toe.
She has also created gorgoeus deco pieces, possibly to trend with the film release 'The Great Gatsby' earlier this year. The shoes come in hues of metallic leathers of golds, bronze, silvers and blacks cut into classic deco shapes. My fave are the 'Decodant' sandals in bronze and silver, that you could imagine a modern Jean Harlow wearing. Along side are matching persepex deco clutch bags.
